“Value for money”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2012

Stayed here for 3 nights between christmas and new year. Usual premier inn standards. Cleanliness excellent. Rooms very comfortable. This is the second time we have stayed here and note how quiet the rooms are. You hear very little noise from other residents or outside the hotel. All in all excellent value for money. Car park gets busy so arrive early if you can.

We stayed for a long weekend at the beginning of January and had a fantastic time - and excellent weather! I looked at a number of hotels before settling on the Premier Inn, mainly due to the price (we got one night at £29) and the location, right on the seafront. For the price, it was absolutely excellent. We had a room in the new block, facing the sea, and the room was HUGE with double aspect windows. The bed was very comfortable, with a pull out bed underneath and a settee which I assume turned into another bed. Even with four people in the room, it would be plenty big enough. I believe there was an extra charge for the sea view, but we weren't charged this - maybe because it was so quiet? There is a tunnel so that you can get from the new block to the reception and restaurant without having to walk outside, and they give you a voucher for free parking. The bathroom was pretty big, and all was immaculately clean. There is a tea tray in the room and although the supplies were a little small, reception were happy to supply more if asked.
All the staff were very friendly and helpful.
We ate in the Beefeater a couple of times - dinner and an evening snack. The food was good quality and drink prices were reasonable. We had a lovely meal at Bianco's in town. We visited Paignton Zoo which was excellent, and saw the seals swimming in Brixham Harbour. The cinema in Torquay was quite nice - and very cheap! Wish we could have stayed longer, and would definitely return!
Oh, and even with the windows slightly open, we had no problem with road noise at all.

Room Tip: Don't want to tell you in case I can never get in again, but room 520 was fantastic!

Only had the 29 gbp rate on 1 of the 3 nights, but well worth it. Big clean room with settee, and bathroom spotless. Free parking, and a stunning view of seafront and the prom lights.

The only negative is that bits of the floor are creaky. Didn't disturb sleep though as those beds are sooooooo comfy.

We stayed here just before Christmas on a Sunday night , it was a special rate of £29 per room which was excellent value. We had a room with a side sea view, it was clean and comfortable. Car parking right outside (free) , right on the sea front with an easy work down to the harbour and the town centre. The staff were very freindly and helpful.

We stayed for one night on the inclusive meal dela and this was all round excellent value. The room was cold on arrival as the heating had not been on but it did warm up. Staff were friendly and informative. Dinner was excellent - we all enjoyed a fantastic 3 course meal from the meal deal menu which had plenty of choice and we all went away full. The steak was the best we had in a restaurant for ages.

The room was clean, spacious and the bed warm and comfortable. ThIs Premier Inn is in a fabolous location across the road from the seafront and 10 minutes walk into town and harbour areas.

Would definately recommend.

I managed to get the booking date wrong so we arrived late. The staff were extremely helpful and understanding and sorted out my mess for me and I cannot tell you how thankful I was for their kindness. We were put into two family rooms which were absolutely excellent. They were enormous compared with other budget hotels we have stayed at and had absolutely fabulous views, one of them being directly with a sea view which was beautiful. We ate at the Beefeater within the hotel and, it being in between Christmas and New Year, it was very busy but the staff were all lovely so we didn't mind the wait. The bar is located with a sea view so we felt really spoiled about the location of this hotel. It was a short walk along the promenade to the shops and bars which we did on the second day. We will definitely be visiting this hotel again. It was family friendly, in a wonderful location with excellent views and brilliant staff. Couldn't ask for any more.

Room Tip: If you are offered the opportunity to upgrade to a sea view - do it! The rooms are larger in the ol...
