“Not to be missed!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 16, 2013

If you visit Plymouth you just have to visit here and enjoy service with a smile, superb burgers and a view of the harbour while you eat! The number of people queuing at all times of the day indicate how good this 'outdoor restaurant' is!

“The best food in the West!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 14, 2013

On our last trip to Plymouth we simply had to stop at Cap'n Jaspers for lunch. This place is great and the food is well worth the wait! I love sitting by the pier watching the world go bye whilst enjoying arguably one of the best bites in Plymouth!

If you ever travel in or around the Plymouth area, this place is well worth a visit! I can honestly say that you will not be disappointed, why not try the half a yard of hot dog? (£4.50)

“One of life's constants”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 7, 2013

Ate here innumerable times between '88-'91 as a student and '92-'95 as a post-grad and was never disappointed. Recently returned for breakfast with my family during a break from the premier inn 'fayre' and was instantly transported back to the good old days - simple food at simple prices delivered with a smile and with excellence. Something about sharing your 'Big J' with a seagull and a hungry looking labrador that is missing from McDonalds! RIP, Cap'n.

“Reliable and yummy”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2013

We are in the area most weekends, sailing, and the first vist on arrival is always Captain Jaspers. Good basic food and good value, freshly cooked to order,so you will have to wait but get a cup of tea and sit and watch the world go by for a few minutes while you wait. Large breakfast filled rolls that keep our crew happy for a few hours at least - There are several other places to grab something to eat in the locality but for value visit here
