630 miles from Minehead to Poole. I've been walking sections for the last six years and only have the section from Weymouth to Poole left to do now.
Some amazing views, spectacular walking - some of it very strenuous. The whole path is the equivalent of climbing Mount Everest from sea level three times. Got some wonderful memories and there are lots of sections that I'm looking forward to revisiting.
The sections either side of Plymouth offer a bit of everything and are a good introductory taster. If you decide to tackle the whole path, join the South West Coast Path Association - the reasonable annual fee is worth it for the guide book alone, and all profits go to maintaining and improving the path.
