This is a beautiful walk around the reservoir. Waterfalls, bridges and the pretty Dartmoor village of Sheepstor as well as the dam itself. It is popular with families but there are cars on the road as well as pedestrians and cyclists so take care with children. Go all the way round - or just as far as you choose. There is also the option to follow the leat, away from traffic. There are usually ice-cream vans in all but the worst weather, although not much else in the way of catering.
