Changed hands and no longer a 'very traditional' pub, more like restaurant decor with mid to high rather than the 'low to mid price meals' of the old description. As others have noted service was slow; although the pleasant waitress was working very hard she was doing so solo and perhaps this was the case in the kitchen too.
Extensive evening menu - from £8.95 for veggie option, £9.95 for 'pub classics' (scampi, chilli etc) & burgers, more for anything more fancy, much more for local steak. Ale nearly £4 a pint.
Food nice enough, not sure worth the price and the long wait though.
