I came to my home city for Gay Pride. Having left Plymouth 7 years ago I was amazed . Having walked through this park on my way to work @ the Naval base, I was pleasantly shocked. It was good to see that the tennis courts are still around, and in use.. To see that the cannon is still in situ was great. My father & his parents lived in Albert Road for much of their lives[wartime excepted] Good to see the bandstand with a roof again. My fathers later years till death were blighted with dementia, and on the corner of Devonport Park is a trial home, where father spent time till he was found a permanent[ish] home.
