“Pleasant meal in a pleasant setting.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 10, 2013 via mobile

Contrary to many of the reviews on here, we found the experience to be a positive one.

The food was nice, a bit different and obviously made fresh on site which is always a bonus! We arrived at about 18:30 and there were a few people there but not a huge number, most people arrived at 19:00 onwards. Service was plenty attentive and the waiters/resses were polite and friendly. Their English might not be 100% but, for me, that adds to the authenticity of the place. It certainly doesn't cause any problems.

Overall the food was tasty, service good and the prices just on the high side of reasonable but seeing as you get a setting such as the RWY, we didn't mind paying a little extra.

“Great location, average food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 5, 2013

Unique location, even better because it was a sunny day. We chose this restaurant because the adjoining ones were choccas. The menu looked like a chain restaurant, and the food tasted like a chain restaurant. The staff were pleasant. Our fairly expensive bottle of wine was not opened at the table, sorry guys,a big no no. Hopefully the other restaurants at the Royal William Yard will rate higher

“Ripped off in style”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 2, 2013

This Restaurant is set in a stunning location and although we went on a Monday evening the place was buzzing. The staff were attentive and friendly but for us that's where it ended. We ordered the antipasto platter for two as a starter. Apart from the bread filler it was barely sufficient for one. The two slices of prosciutto were cut extremely thin , you could easily see through them and why three slices of equally thin cut slices of salami for two people? For our main course we both ordered the special two smaller portions of Classic Pasta each. We each had the Spaghetti with King Prawns which we found acceptable in taste and quantity. The Fusilli Rusticana contained trace elements of the advertised main ingredients , pasta apart. The chicken was invisible as was the bacon. The same could be said of the Fusilli Gorganzola. Perhaps on this visit we made the wrong selection or it was the Pasta chefs night off? With dessert our bill was £59 which we thought excessive for the meal we had. It was eased somewhat by using £40 of Tesco vouchers as a contribution.
Be warned about the parking arrangements at Royal William Yard which are independent from Prezzo and hence not their fault. On arrival at the yard entrance your car is photographed and on exiting the yard you have to enter the last three digits of your car reg into a parking meter. It flashes up a photo of your car and how much you must pay , £1 per hour. If you leave without paying for any reason they can trace your car and you get a £70 fine. If you park outside a designated area you can be clamped and have to pay £70 to be released . Another way of deterring tourists to what is a delightful setting!!

“Fantastic food, great setting, loved every mouthfull”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 30, 2013

First time at Prezzo and first time in Royal William Yard, what a fabulous setting on a warm summers evening. Restaurant was very spacious and comfortable. Had king prawn pasta which was excellent totally delighted with the mixed salad, gorgeous roasted peppers in it, with yellow tomatoes, what a nice touch, and 6 or 7 kinds of leaves. The desserts would really good value and well presented and cooked. Great to be able to see the cooking going on and the wood burning stove made it feel really authentic. will definitely be going back again....
