I stay in plymouth for work on a regular basis and I think that this is the best place to stay. The rooms are Nicky decorated, and pleasant, there is always parking and the breakfast is great.
Nits close to the shops and therefore, what else do I need?!

I was working in Plymouth for a couple of days and booked at the Imperial. It is close to everything I needed as well as being convenient for the Barbican and all the restaurants. A lovely hotel, wonderful staff, very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was also really good - couldn't find anything wrong. I will certainly stay here next time I'm in Plymouth. Thanks

Free wifi with good reception; very clean throughout; friendly and helpful staff; only slight drawback is not necessarily getting a parking space at the front or rear. I would definitely stay here again.

I usually go with a chain but leaving it late to book decided to choose this smaller hotel . As the location looked fabulous , however I Was nervous as didn't know what to expect ! From the outside on arrival I had more reservations. Scaffolding at back and looked a bit less than the 5 stars on trip advisor . However as soon as I walked through the door I was totally converted ! The check in and Parking advice was easy. The dining room looked gorgeous. Our room on the top floor wasn't perfect but more than we expected. ! And was very comfortable. Breakfast was great , but the overall experience and we are picky ! I would rate as 9/10. Will re book again and recommend to others ,Louise and her team suggest direct Bookings and will match online prices. So bear this in mind to support smaller local business's ! So as they avoid commissions !
Thanks for a lovely stay

I had left it late to book into my usual hotel and found the Imperial on booking .com. I have to say that from the moment i checked in to leaving everything was fantastic. I stayed in Salcomb room. The room is large with really nice decor and a huge comfy bed. This room also as a balcony.
Breakfast and the breakfast room were fantastic.
A very profesional hotel that pays alot of attention to detail.
Looking forward to my next visit

Room Tip: Ask for Salcomb its at the top of the stairs, but what a fantastic room.

This was the best guesthouse hotel I have stayed in in UK. Breakfast was particularly good, room remodelled recently and staff very helpful and friendly. Will stay there again. It was a few flights of stairs to my room but I booked at the very last minute. If you can book earlier ask for a lower room and you will have a great time.

The Imperial is without doubt the best hotel in Plymouth. Friendly and clean, in an interesting old building in a great location. Nothing is too much trouble. Super breakfasts with loads of choice. For parking you may need to use on street but that has never been a problem for us.
