Go here loads. Level walking in gardens for those with mobility issues, great mountain bike trails around park/dog walking for those who don't! Eat at the cafe on regular basis; cannot understand poor cafe review. Amazing home baking, cafitieres of coffee come with extra hot water as does tea; free chilled glasses tap water; its not the cheapest (£2.00 for cake) but for national trust you wouldn't expect it. Plymouth does not have an amazing array lunch venues, this is one of my favourite. Nice terrrace outside on door and outside the other door nice seating in courtyard. You are asked to put your own tray away on the rack but so what and if you don't, the staff will clear it. Staff are very friendly and the food is home cooked on the premises. I reccommend the cold fruit pie and clotted cream...!
