“A break at the beeches”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 13, 2011

My mum and I chose to stay at the Beeches citadel road plymouth for a long weekend in november 2011. We found it clean and comfortable. The owners were friendly and welcoming. They even invited my son, who is a student at the university to join us for a lovely cooked breakfast while we were there. The beeches is well situated for the hoe, barbican and town for shopping, I would definately recommend the beeches and look forward to stopping there again soon.

Room Tip: With my mum being slightly disabled they had a comfortable room on the ground floor.

Really likes this place, excellent location for the city and seafront, stayed in a triple room on the front of the building. Great breakfast and very nice people running it.

Would defiantly stay there again!!

Our room was clean new curtains and pretty spacious, only thing wrong was the electric sockets need sorting out in it and a suitable place to boil the kettle.

The only thing negative which stopped me giving 5 stars is that it needs a new hall and stairs carpets and the front of the house doing up!! Front door cleaned and repainted and steps washed.

Spent a long weekend here which happened to coincide with the start of The Americas Cup so being opposite The Hoe was very handy indeed. In fact the location is excellent as it is near to The Barbican and the shopping centre as well. Parking is not a problem as the guest house can provide you with daily parking permits which allow 24 hour parking anywhere in Zone H. The guest house itself is clean and tidy. Our room was a good size with an excellent shower and ensuite. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and the breakfasts were fine. My only quibbles were that there was no Wi-Fi which is unusual these days in a location the size of Plymouth and the room was not serviced on the sunday which came as a bit of a suprise. But all in all we had a very pleasant stay here and I would be happy to recommend The Beeches to everyone else.

We loved our stay at the Beeches guest house. The location was perfect. Plymouth hoe is right in front of the hotel and it's around the corner from the town center and the Barbican. The room was excellent. Very clean with a nice view of the hoe one side and the town center to the other. The breakfast each morning was fantastic and was made by Kris each day who was awesome. We would definitely stay at the Beeches again if we were in the area as we found it to be tremendous value for money.

stayed here for a week and the owners were very friendly and treated us well. the breakfast in the morning was fab. Close to the Hoe and the town centre, making it an ideal location for going out and about everyday. Would recommend this Guest House to anyone and hoping to return soon.
