“Comfortable B&B”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 27, 2010

Ken & Carolione were very hospitable hosts.
The room was clean & comfortable.
Caroline cooked a nice homemade breakfast.
They even gave all the guests Easter eggs.
Good location for exploring North Devon.

If you like a clean tidy house with friendly and accommodating owners you will love Lee House. Ken and Caroline are very keen to ensure you enjoy your stay and it is evident they love every minute of their chosen career. Our room was spotlessly clean and spacious
(the Garden room) . The breakfasts were excellent and offered more unusual choices - like pancakes stuffed with scramble egg and mushroom.) It is in a very good setting but If they also carry out their plans for the remodeling of the back garden it will be a perfect place to stay next spring and summer.
They advised us on where to eat and if you are after good wholesome food with 3 courses for £10 you couldn't do much better than the Butter Churn ( unfortunately they are only open Friday and Saturdays from end of October )

L&L has many guest houses, but you wouldn't get a more warm, friendly and excellent service from Ken & Caroline at Lee House.
We had a lovely time in L&L, and in our view Lee House met the "Hotel Inspector's" 3 Bs; bed, bathroom, breakfast - spacious, clean & tidy, and excellant breakfast.
Don't miss the cinema !!!

We arrived tired after a long journey and within minutes of arriving at Lee House the cares of everyday life were put behind us by the warm welcome we received from Ken and Caroline. Things went on getting better. A delightful room with a balcony and views out over the town and countryside beyond. Everything spotlessly clean and the pillows and cushions arranged with the precision that shows care is being taken.

So hopes for breakfast the following day were high and we were not to be disappointed. Such choice and all impeccably cooked by Caroline (smoked salmon and scrambled eggs served with muffins a highlight). We were glad to be staying for five days so had plenty of opportunity to try much of what was on offer. A must to start with was the home made fruit salad - delicious.

Over breakfast ordering and at othe odd moments there was time to enjoy conversation with Ken and Caroline who proved to be charming and relaxed hosts. The relaxed atmosphere was infectious and we quickly unwound and were able to enjoy our five days to the full. Lynton turned out to be an excellent centre for exploring North Devon and also provided a wide range of local eateries and an independent cinema.

All in all a brilliant break thanks to all Ken and Caroline's hard work. Next time we'll be staying longer!

Caroline & Ken are providing a first class service. My wife and I stayed in a very clean, light and airy room. The breakfast was always tasty and a good choice is available. Lee House is in the centre of Lynton; the post office, shops and restaurants are just across the road so everything is close by.

We love walking and being surrounded by great scenery so Lynton & Lynmouth are perfect.

Wonderful stay at Lee House.Really hospitable hosts,Wonderfully cooked breakfast, with smashing choice, all from locally resourced produce.Spotlessly clean. Terrific bathroom that had an extremely comfortable bath.A much needed treat to soothe those aching muscles after walking.

Tiny tiny problem for us was that the bedding was too hot,No matter, it got kicked off!!

Lots of good restaurants close by.We ate in the Queens,The Italian one(cant remember the name) and for a special celebration The Lynton Cottage. Can recommend them all for service and food. The Lynton cottage was a real treat that was thoroughly enjoyed.

TOTALLY RECOMMEND. Thanks Caroline and Ken. We needed some TLC and they came up trumps !!!!
