“Wonderful weekend”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 18, 2010

We really enjoyed staying at Lee House for the festival weekend. Very friendly and welcoming, with a great breakfast. The rooms were spotless and very clean. The location was perfect for exploring the festival and we were able to pop back in during the day to collect things we had forgotten - perfect for a group of dizzy girls. Having a car parking space was priceless as the festival was really busy this year.
Thank you for looking after us so well and making sure we had a great weekend.

We stayed at this Lovely Bed and Breakfast for two nights after a week in a Cornish Cottage. A little treat on the way home, and what a treat it turned out to be.
On arrival we were warmly welcomed by the friendly and very helpful Caroline, who it seemed, would go the extra mile to make your stay as comfortable as possible. We were served with tea and biscuits and were also joined by her partner ken in the beautiful sitting room as we chatted about our trip.
After a relaxing cup of tea, we were shown to our generously sized room with the even more generously sized bathroom. The balcony out front was delightful, and afforded stunning views over the 'Little Switzerland' of North Devon.
The accommodation is tastefully decorated, and I cannot recall finding floral walpaper anywhere. lovely rooms with Ken's own stunning artwork adorning the tastefully decorated walls.
One huge bonus was the breakfasts. A range of cereals to choose from and fresh fruit salad prepared daily, with local yoghurts (delicious) and fresh orange juice also available. Being a Vegetarian myself, I'm always concerned about the "Veggie Breakfast" which normally consists of a full english minus the meat. Not so here where two hearty veggie sausages are cooked well away from any meat and are included in a sizeable offering, including I might add, possibly the finest scrambled eggs i've tasted. (Free range of course).
All in all, this was a delightful stay at a lovely B&B in a stunning location, and turned out to be the highlight of our holiday. Sure to revisit.

We spent 3 nights at this B&B in Lynton and had the most comfortable, relaxing and enjoyable stay ever. There isn't one aspect of this homely B&B run by Ken and Caroline that let us down. From the rooms to the breakfast, everything was nicely done. The cleanliness standards are also very high with the beds and bathroom all incredibly clean, shining and spotless! The breakfast served is all home-cooked food with some great options even if you're a vegetarian. I even received personalized toast in the shape of a heart and bunny rabbit ;) To top it all, Ken and Caroline's hospitality and assistance made this a memorable trip for us.

Lee House is also very conveniently located with easy access to the Valley of Rocks, Lynmouth, Watersmeet by foot. We didn't have a car and walked around to most of these places. This is a great destination to get some quite-time in a small village and we will surely aim to go back and stay at Lee House.
