“Exceptional B &B”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 3, 2012

3 lovely days in Devon made all the more enjoyable by our stay in the delightful Lee House in Lynton. Right from the beginning of our email correspondence from Australia, hosts Caroline and Ken, made sure that our experience would be memorable for all the right reasons. Our room was beautifully appointed, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The breakfasts were gourmet quality, generously catering for all tastes. We enjoyed relaxing in the gracious lounge area and appreciated the coffee on arrival. Ken and Caroline were able to provide with lots of information on things to visit and do in the Devon area. We would highly recommend Lee House.

We stayed at Lee House for 4 nights in July while traveling through Exmoor. Caroline and Ken are the real deal...friendly & sincere yet professional. Immediately they make you feel at home, like you're visiting a favorite relatives house. Their recommendations for restaurants were outstanding and their suggested sites to visit were spot on. They even accommodated our vegan diet without missing a beat (corn fritters & veggie sausages!). We got to experience 2 different rooms during our stay and both were clean, well-equipped and charming (yet updated & modern). We recommend Lee House 100% and will definitely be staying there again! Colin & Mary

Room Tip: All of the rooms are great, they simply differ in sizes of beds.

This was our first time at Lee House and we were thoroughly impressed. Caroline and Ken were warm and very helpful hosts who were more than willing to provide advice on places to visit, eat, and cycle. The rooms were extremely spacious and had all the modern amenities as well as stunning views (from our West Lyn room anyway!). The shower felt brand new and was a joy to use. A wide variety of choices for breakfast were on offer and served in a lovely, light and airy room. The pancakes with scrambled egg and mushrooms were scrumptious along with Ken's fresh fruit salad. Staying at Lee House is a treat and we would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a base to explore Exmoor. There is so much to see and do around Lynton and so many great places to eat that you will need to come back for more!

Our 2nd visit to Lee House - even better than the first time - Caroline & Ken are superb hosts and have made even more improvements to this lovely house. Lovely clean fresh room with a fab kingsize bed. Superb breakfast, lots of choice and Ken's fresh fruit salad is to die for!!
We will return - hopefully soon. Thanks and best wishes for a great season. Ruth & Francois :)

A lovely guest house and such lovely hosts. Visited with son and daughter-in-law. An ideal venue for sightseeing and the local Tapas restaurant recommended by Ken and Caroline were great. The rooms we had were superb. There is so much to see and do and lovely walks - just wish the stay had been longer. And a bonus was the lovely flower festival in the church. Why have we never visited Lynton and Lynmouth before? Will definitely be looking at a return visit. Thanks - can only re-iterate that everything was excellent.

We stayed at Lee House in Lynton and couldnt have asked for a better weekend away. Caroline and Ken, the owners, were friendly and welcoming. The breakfast choice superb and the room was spotless and beautifully decorated. A great big thank you for a relaxing weekend away.

Room Tip: We stayed in The Garden Suite which is at the back of the house so, therefore, very quiet

For the past few years, my wife and I have tried to 'holiday' in a different region each year and this year decided on North Devon. "Trip Advisor", proved to be very useful in helping us to select the our holiday 'base' and we impressed by the comments we read about "Lee House" in Lynton, which was to prove an ideal 'location' to explore the area. From the moment we arrived at "Lee House", we knew that we had made a good choice, for it certainly 'ticked' all the right boxes for us. Caroline and Ken, (who were both lovely people), proved to be wonderful 'hosts' and went 'out of their way to make our stay a very memorable one. Our bedroom and accompanying en-suite facilities were beautifully presented, spotlessly clean and maintained to a very high level. 'Breakfasts' provided a very good start to each day, offering a wide variety of choice, designed to suit all tastes, prepared to a very high standard by Caroline and served with great 'charm' by Ken, who was a 'mine of information' on where to go and which restaurants to visit. By the end of the week my wife and I were beginning to see them both as real 'friends'! Highly recommended!
