“Best Coffee in North Devon”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

Charlie Fridays is one of those coffee shops where you feel happy to sit there for as long as you need to whilst mulling things over with a great, freshly ground coffee. The owner is really accommodating and will indulge your requests for weird concoctions. Wi-fi is available as well, which means you have connectivity in a poor reception area, which is a bonus. I love this place!

“Excellent coffee”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 28, 2012

As a local person I frequent this cafe very often because the coffee is simply the best! The owner prides herself in making each cup especially to your requirement, starting with grinding the beans!
Great homemade cakes too :) Lovely, easy comfy atmosphere.

“Definitely worth a visit”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 23, 2012

This is a lovely charactersome cafe, almost the perfect place to pass some time between walks or during a rain shower. The home-made soup (Moroccan chick pea or lentil on the day we were there) is wonderful, The coffee is real and excellent. The cafe itself is basic but scrupulously clean. Wi-fi is provided. However, what marks this cafe out is its friendly, relaxed and slightly querky atmosphere. We could have spent the whole afternoon chatting with the owner and the other customers, but a coastal walk from the nearby church beckoned before sundown. Anybody have any idea how the cafe got its enigmatic name? Ask the owner!.
