“Just ok.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 15, 2013 via mobile

We sat outside as it was a fine day. The cafe itself seemed small and dark.

We ordered two cream teas, which were not cheap. The scones themselves were fine. Nothing special, doubt they were home made. Having seen mini jars of speciality jam on display, we thought this is what we would be served. Unfortunately, this was not the case. The jam we received was in small plastic tubs - the kind you'd find in a cheap greasy spoon. There was not enough jam to cover the scone.

The tea was just tea. Hot enough, served with a small amount of milk.

The biggest disappointment was walking past another cafe offering cream teas for half the price, just a few feet away!

“Avoid it. Overpriced with poor quality and service.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed October 5, 2013 via mobile

Excellent location seriously let down by offhand attitude by serving staff and poor quality food. Paid just under £4 for two slices of cucumber a stale scone and tiny pot of chutney.

“Nothing Special - Just Average”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 22, 2013

As others have said; interior needs bringing up to date. The coffee was nothing to write home about. The staff were polite but didn't look particularly tidy. We sat outside and observed the gentleman clearing the tables using the same damp cloth over and over again to wipe the tables. Not once did we see him use a spray or rinse the cloth out.

“Good coffee but interior needs an update”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 15, 2013

We popped in here for a quick coffee during our daytrip to Lynmouth. The cappuccinos were good and we were served quickly and politely. What lets the café down is the very out-dated interior with plastic seats and other tacky furniture. Unfortunately it was too cold to move to the outdoor seating, which does looks much nicer.

“over priced and poor quality”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed September 13, 2013

Thought we would have a last cream tea at the end of our holiday. Wish we hadn't bothered. The tables outside were not very clean and the cream tea, well, stale scones and little packs of jam with it, not very appetising. One place to miss when next we go to Lynmouth
