“What a wonderful place!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 22, 2013

The reviews say it all. Kay & Richard are a lovely couple and nothing was too much trouble. We were welcomed with coffee & cake on our arrival, along with a good chat about the local area, setting us up for our visit. We stayed in room 2 which was the smallest least expensive but luxurious all the same. Our cosy boudoir had a complimentary sweetie dish, bottled water, hospitality tray and toiletries. Another very nice touch were bathrobes (M&S) and face cloths... One more of Mr Jackson's favourite things was the hotel bar, snug & bijou, but the perfect place to unwind. Breakfast was 5* and we were made to feel most at home. We'd have no hesitation in returning or recommending this hotel... A wonderful find!

Room Tip: This property is on the hillside so be prepared for a short climb... But well worth the effort for t...

We only had a one night stay at the Heatherville but would have happily extended our visit! I'd booked the stay on the bass of previous reviews and can happily endorse all the great feedback. Kay and Richard who are the hosts gave us a lovely welcome and made us feel at home from the first minute. After a warm day of travelling and sight seeing it was lovely to be greeted with tea and home made cakes on the terrace. The location is ideal for Lynmouth and is very peaceful and quiet with views down over the river. We had a great room (Room 4) with a very comfortable bed and a lovely en-suite bathroom - the standard of decor and cleanliness within the hotel is exceptionally good and a credit to Richard and Kay's high standards. Breakfast was delicious - a full range of options and freshly cooked to order. Very highly recommended - we'll certainly be returning for a longer stay!

Nothing was too much trouble for Kay and Richard, who welcomed us with tea and home made cake on arrival and waved away our concerns of incontinent old cars leaking on their driveway. With no power steering, a two-point turn at the first hairpin and a reverse up the second quickly became the norm. A lovely room, comfortable bed and delicious breakfast; the Heatherville Hotel ticked all the boxes. If we happen to stay in Lynmouth again the Heatherville will be our first port of call.

Having read the reviews of the Heartherville I did not quite believe that it would live up to the reports. However, I can safely say it did, and the venue, hosts and whole experience were truly wonderful. Kay and Richard (the hosts) could not have not more for us and made us feel very welcome. The breakfast is fantastic, so worth making sure you are feeling hungry.

My wife and I love getting away from it all by visiting Lynmouth , and Heatherville Hotel is a perfect place to stay when visiting the area. Its location is great for the Lynmouth pubs and restaurants, and for starting many of the walks in the area. Richard and Kay are perfect hosts and they made us feel very welcome in their lovely home, the homemade flapjacks and cake went down a treat.
Our room was charming and exceptionally clean, with a beautiful view. The cooked breakfast is probably one of the best ever, and with the choice of cereals and fruit it would be hard to top. The bar was also convenient after a hard days walking. To sum it up we had a fantastic time and would definitely stay here again, Richard and Kay deserve much credit for the hard work they put in.

Stayed recently for four nights. The welcome we received was so friendly, almost like being welcomed home with a cup of tea and a slice of homemade cake. Kay & Richard take great care to ensure you are looked after. Nothing is too much trouble. Our room was spotlessly clean and beautifully furnished. The choice at breakfast was superb and cooked fresh to order. We also ate two evening meals and they too, didn't disappoint. We would recommend a stay at The Heatherville without hesitation. Thank you Kay & Richard for a lovely stay Di & Roy

This was our first visit to the Heatherville for a short break. Richard and Kay made us very welcome from the moment we arrived and we enjoyed our stay. Lovely room and decor and breakfast was excellent. Although this was our first stay it won't be the last!
