a group of us went to a guided tour of the house but I had been before and the guides then were more interesting .ifelt that the ladies had not thought the tour out very well and far to much was given to all the family portraits when it got a little boring. maybe more about the present day running of ugbrooke e.g. staff and gardeners also who inherits etc.. I felt that as this is quite a small house and not many rooms to see time was spent over paintings and not so much over history .only at the end of the tour did we get an insight as to one of the family spending time as a prisoner of war .also the family were catholics and had a lovely chapple which was hidden from view behind a wall of books which surprise was spoilt as the hidden door was wide open and so no body saw this. The house and grounds are lovely but the tour needs rethinking
