the cathedral is right in the middle of the city, just behind the high st shops. Nice green space around it to chill with an ice cream. Best memory was going to a wedding there, guests in choir pews whilst tourists were in the main aisles!

“in the heart of the city”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 11, 2013

Exeter cathedral is a great place to visit but be warned you pay to go in unless you just wish to go to the shop - however its worth paying for to see the whole place as its really so beautiful inside. there is also accessible from the outside a small cafe which does sell very nice food & a good cup of tea at a reasonable price. its very nice too.

“After hours, so we only saw the exterior.”

We happened upon the cathedral during a walk after dinner. We were disappointed to find it closed, but it was a sight to behold. Truly amazing.
