This hotel is well located just a few minutes walk one way to the cathedral and shops and a few minutes the other down to the quay. We had a room on the top floor of the new block at the back. It felt chilly when we went in but soon warmed up once the radiator was put on. Why do hotels leave the heating off when they know the room is booked - very unwelcoming? Large very clean bathroom. Luckily we were only staying one night as although there was a large wardrobe there was only one small draw for folded things. If we'd been staying longer this would have been very annoying especially as there was room to put some shelves in the wardrobe. Although they supply ear plugs found we didn't need them! One advantage is the free parking, unusual for a city centre hotel. We had lunch in the bar, typical pub grub but pleasant enough. Good breakfast help yourself to cereals, yogurt, fruit, tea, coffee, toast and waitress service for full cooked breakfast, although whoever was in the kitchen the day we stayed had no idea how to cook scrambled eggs!
