“Standard Business Hotel - Good location”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 23, 2011

This is a standard business traveller hotel. Clean and efficient. Friendly staff.

Cannot comment on the restaurant as we didn't eat on site.

Close to Exeter city centre - good for a night out and for meetings.

There is no on-site parking, although there are discounts on the car park on both sides of the building. (At the time of writing Blue Badge holders could park for free in the Exeter Council car park at the rear of the hotel)

Have stayed at this hotel a couple of times now.... Stayed here Mod March 2011, Sat night. Was checked into room at 11.55 am, picked up complimentary newspaper on way up to room... nice room, very clean, one double and one large single on third floor. Got excellent rate by booking in advance with Hotels.com.... £59 including dinner bed and breakfast for two... dinner was three courses.... nothing to write home about, but good food which filled a gap... breakfast was buffet, self service style. Met up with friends who were staying in the Holiday Inn Express... also very nice, but out of the two, I think Jur's wins on location if you can get a decent rate ( bearing in mind you have to pay for parking.)All in all, great stay.

Stayed with husband and teenage son on a trip to see the university. The location is great for the town centre - more of a trek to the university but if you don't mind the hills...
Our room was lovely, and spotless. Beautifully furnished, as are all the communal areas. The receptionist (Marie) was very welcoming and chatty, which was lovely after such a long journey. All in all we were very happy with our choice and will certainly stay again when in Exeter.

Jurys Inn is a very modern hotel, rooms are to a high standard and kept very clean, really nice shower in the bathroom, and all toiletries are supplied as you would expect in a hotel of this calibre. Staff were very attentive and helpful. My room had a double and a single, so plenty of space for one! INternet is on a charge, £10 for 24 hours or £5 for 1 hour, a bit expensive on top of the room rate. Buffet style breakfast, but a decent choice with cereals and rolls, fresh fruit and toast making fairly standard stuff.

First time stay at a Jurys Inn. Friendly staff, clean, comfortable accommodation. I have stayed at Premier Inns and the Marriott Hotels, this is almost the quality of the Marriott at the price of the Premier Inn and breakfast was included. Ice machine on every floor - great! I took a bottle of long life milk and was glad as only 4 small pods in room but could probably have had more if I asked.

We had tickets for an event at Westpoint and on check in Reception booked our taxi there without any trouble. It cost just under £12 each way. Taxi from St Davids Station just under £6, bus from the town centre to the Station £1.60.

Breakfast was a buffet style where you could choose fruit, cereal or cooked. All very nice. Located opposite the Vue cinema and literally 5 minutes walk from the city centre. We went for a girlie treat and wasn't disappointed. The water pressure in the shower was good too. Liquid soap, shampoo and conditioner provided.

What a great find. Our room was on the third floor and had a double and single bed. I had booked a twin room but it was lovely and spacious. Also liked being able to control the air conditioning within the room.

Excellent location for the lovely city of Exeter. Clean, bright, fashionable. Rooms spacious and comfortable welcoming bar area. Staff courteous and efficient. Would definitely stay with this chain again. In fact, goodbye Travelodge, Premier, this beats you hands down!
