“100% recommended B&B”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 20, 2012

I was looking for some nice B&B for me, my husband and his parents. At the beginning I wasn't very lucky, as we were not familiar with Cornwall area and I wasn't quite sure where is the best place to stay in Cornwall. But Lan-Y-Mor in Tintagel was just a prefect location for us. Dave and Jean were incredibly friendly, great hospitality, very clean and comfortable rooms, the best English breakfast ever made by Dave. they do help you with tips of the places to visit, which was a great help for us! We would definitely recommend this B&B to anyone.

Room Tip: The room with a sea view was really nice and spacious. Nice and very clean bathrooms, towels provide...

Dave and Jean were the best hosts we had on our 18-day trip through the British Isles (which consisted of mostly B&Bs) hands down. They're amazing hospitality started as soon as Jean opened the door, and extended down the block with us as we left the next day. They were both exceedingly friendly and willing to talk, yet never encroached on our privacy or our nerves. Both were full of suggestions on what to do and where to eat while staying in Tintagel, and exuded a charm and knowledge singular to well-connected, intelligent B&B owners. From Dave's suggestion to try the local cider at their favorite restaurant, to Jean drying out our shoes after a long day's hike, to them upgrading us to a nicer room after our shower started to leak into their kitchen, to an enormous and delicious homemade breakfast (complete with Dave's homemade Damson Jam, absolutely delicious), Dave and Jean made us feel welcome, comfortable, and looking forward to a second visit before we were halfway done our first. If you'll be in or around Tintagel, stay with them - you'll love it.

Room Tip: The room with the sea view is gorgeous, and also has a single bed for families, but both rooms our v...

Lan-y-mor is, quite simply, the best low-cost B&B I've ever stayed in. Perfectly situated just across the street from the Barras Nose entrance to the South West Coast Path in Tintagel (and sadly just down the street from the eyesore Camelot Castle Hotel), Lan-y-mor is a 3 minute walk from "downtown" Tintagel.

I stayed in a double room, using it as a single. It was perfect. Clean, quiet, with a wonderful mattress, ocean front view and delicious breakfast, I can't think of a single way to improve on this B&B. Any future trips to Tintagel will be planned around Lan-y-mor's availability.

What a fantastic base to explore the wonderful coastline of Cornwall from. Jean and David our hosts, were so helpful and obliging in advising us what we could do to make the most of our trip. Our day took in Port Isaac a walk to Rock and a ferry to Padstein, sorry Padstow! then to awaken the next day to a fantastic breakfast. The only mistake we made was not booking for a longer period!

We felt very fortunate to have stumbled upon Lan-y-mor. The hosts were very welcoming, a lovely couple. The breakfast was the best we've had in the UK. The room, beds, and duvets were very comfortable, clean and aesthetically pleasing. We had all of the amenities of a very nice hotel, but the feel of being in our own home. The owners were very thoughtful. We were so happy to have a bottle of water waiting for us when we returned after a long day. They offered suggestions about sights to see and loaned us a guide with maps of the area. We had planned to spend one night, but after the first night decided to stay two nights and wished we could stay longer. Our stay at Lan-y-mor helped make our stay in Cornwall a complete pleasure full of fond memories.

I spent 2 nights at the Lan-Y-Mor B&B in Tintagel/Cornwall and absolutely loved it! This was after a week of unintentional B&B hopping that ensued after a reservation mix-up, and finally settling into the Lan-Y-Mor was like visiting Heaven. The accomodations are quite nice, even luxurious, and the breakfasts are to die for, but what made this B&B so remarkable was the incredible hospitality, kindness and helpfulness of the owners, Dave and Jean. They went way over the extra mile and made what could have been a harrowing trip memorable in a very positive way. I highly recommend this B&B to anyone!
