Have to say we are regular visitors to St. Ives and have eaten at most of the well known restaurants here. We have often walked passed The Wave and looked in as we walked by and thought how lovely it was, but we had never eaten there. Wind the clock forward to last Saturday and as we hadn't booked anything for the evening we wandered around to see what was available and we finally settled on The Wave. We were not disappointed, a couple of G & T's as we browsed the menu, but settled on the local lobster and cod fillet from the specials menu. The grilled lobster according to my 'dining partner' was one of the best, the cod fillet I had, was without doubt the best. All washed down with a bottle of the local Camel Valley made for a wonderful Saturday evening. The service was equal to the food in terms of offering good, friendly advice too. My advice, if like me you have dined out in St.Ives many times before but not here, is "don't just look at it, go in and book it". You will be in for a splendid experience.
