“A great location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2013

This is a very well presented B&B with the feel of a small hotel, well situated and with its own parking. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. We had a front facing room with stunning views over Porthminster beach and beyond. The room was beautifully appointed but rather small, not much room to walk around the bed. The bathroom was very clean but when using the washbasin I banged my head on the shelf above as it was too wide for the size of the basin.
On arrival we were shown around, our room, dining room etc, but not shown a guest lounge, and did not find one. This is unusual and I feel was sacrificed to make space for more bedrooms. There is a lovely garden at the rear with loungers, but no use in the rain. A guest lounge would be an additional place to sit, especially as our bedroom was small.
Breakfast was cooked to order, complimented by a buffet with plenty of choice.

Room Tip: Lovely views at front but lots of road noise.

We stayed for 7 nights in the self catering apartment in Sept 2013. On arrival the first thing that hit us was the amazing picture windows and view of Porthminster beach and Godrevy lighthouse, so glad we bought the binoculars with us to watch all the fishing boats and we even saw a seal a few times poking his head up near the beach. The location is fabulous a five minute walk to the beach or into the town and harbour.
The lounge area was comfortable with a good sized TV, if I had to fault this area all I would say is a larger soft armchair or small sofa would be nice under the window rather than the small chair there at present.
The kitchen was modern and well equipped, I did have to ask Julie how to work the cooker and felt very silly when she came round and lifted the tea towel off the oven handle to reveal all the control buttons, but we had a good laugh about it.
The bathroom was spotlessly clean with a lovely deep bath and refreshing shower, they changed our towels midweek.
The bedroom was a good size with a lovely big comfy bed, it felt very luxurious.
We enjoyed the freedom and space of staying in the apartment rather than a single room but for others just bear in mind it is an apartment block and a few times we heard the neighbours coming in and out which didn't bother us but may some.
Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, Julie was always happy to help and very friendly. We will definitely return and recommend 27 the terrace to anyone we know heading down this way.

We spent a night here whilst in st ives for a friends wedding. Our room was luxuriously appointed with a stunning view of st ives bay. Breakfast was freshly cooked and very good.
We'll definitely be back for a longer weekend, and would thoroughly recommend.

We stayed in this B&B for 2 nights while visiting St Ives for a friends wedding. It came highly recommended by the Bride & Groom! Referred to as a B&B but feels much more like a boutique hotel. We shared the apartment with another couple, it's actually in a block right next door to the main B&B building which isn't quite as attractive on the outside but has been decorated in the same simple, stylish and elegant way as the main building. The bedroom has a super kingsize bed and the lounge a bigger than average sofa bed (although really more suitable for kids/teenagers). the apartment was very food value for 2 couples. The view was simply breathtaking and it is located just a short stroll from both the beach, harbour and main attractions of this beautiful town. All staff were friendly and welcoming and it felt as if they really wanted you to enjoy your stay. We had a couple of individual requirements which were met with ease. I had a quick look in one of the rooms in the main building as some other friends were checking out and was just as impressed. The only feedback I can give in way of a suggestion would be to fit a full length mirror in the apartment as the only mirrors are in the bathroom and above the dressing table which made it impossible for us to see below our waists when dressing for the wedding and maybe to change the teapots which dribble water all over the beautifully set breakfast table!

Room Tip: Ask for a sea view, it is simply stunning!

We have just returned from a 3 night stay booked the day before we arrived. We are so glad we found this b&b on the internet, it is stunning and is in a perfect location for a 2 minute walk into St Ives and has amazing views. We will definitely stay here next time we visit St Ives and have already recommended it to family.

We had a fantastic 7 nights at this wonderful hotel. The location is perfect and the views couldnt be better. We stayed in room 2 with the best views overlooking the beach. The room was very clean, beautifully decorated and had a very very comfortable bed. Breakfast was great, a wide selection from the buffet table and the cooked items were very good, all helped by the wonderful views from the breakfast room. Julie is a lovely lady, made us very welcome and took us round the apartment next door which is equally impressive with fantastic views. If you want a bit of luxury come to this hotel you wont be disappointed. .

Room Tip: Rooms 2 and 4 have the best views.
