What beautiful place, in a beautiful location, with fantastic hosts.
We spent 3 nights in St. Ives and had an amazing time. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel like we were staying at the home of old friends. Mike and Gil are just the nicest people you could ever want for hosts. Mike called and got us reservations for dinner in the town upon our arrival, making the search for food a simple task. The breakfasts were 5 star and served in a cozy breakfast room with stunning views of the beach. My husband and I stayed in a double room, our two teenage daughters stayed in a room with 2 twins. Both had ensuite baths, both spotless, comfy and spacious. The neighborhood was quiet, and the walk to town pleasant. It was a bit of a challenge finding the exact location, but the directions on the website were very precise...we found it eventually :)
The town of St Ives was the perfect base for our day trips to Land's End and to the Minack Theater and St.Michael's Mount. The beach was loaded with huge waves, and therefore many surfers every day. The B&B is located at the top of a steep hill, and we got quite a workout walking to and from the downtown area, but if need be, there are taxis to bring you back and forth.
I cannot stress enough how good the food was. Mike makes his own soda bread and is as good as is found in Ireland, if not better, made with fresh, local ingredients. His porridge with fruit and cream was out of this world!
This will be the standard against which all future stays in B&B's for us will be measured. Thanks to Mike and Gil for being such gracious and kind hosts :)

stayed at Ten Ocean View in May and had a thoroughly enjoyable time. The owners were pleasant and friendly and the breakfast were good. Quite close to the beach but not in the centre of st ives. Would recommend it to couples.

This place is truly exceptional and outstanding.

We were made to feel very welcome in an unobtrusive way. The room and en-suite were spotless. The bed extremely comfortable, the en-suite large with an excellent shower. Breakfast was simply delicious (the best we've had anywhere) with a fantastic view of Porthmeor Beach.
We sat out after a walk along the coast path in the garden, and the picture was taken from there.
Parking was on-site. All that St Ives offers is an easy walk away, including the Tate, less than 300 metres.

Have just returned from a four night stay at this B and B in room number three which had fantastic views of the bay and Porthmeor Beach. Superb room with quality furnishings, comfortable bed and stylish bathroom with spa bath. The breakfasts surpassed our expectations utilising high quality local produce. Our host's, Gil and Mike, were very welcoming and extremely friendly. We would not hesitate in recommending this accomodation to anyone visiting this beautiful part of Cornwall. We will definately return !
