“Full of character, cream tea experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 27, 2013

Not your traditional tea shop and the better for it. This cafe make afternoon tea an experience, from the decor, items for sale and vinyl record player, to the tea served in glass teapot with egg timer to brew to your taste. Thoroughly enjoyed the scones and cream too.

“Hidden gem in st Ives”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2013 via mobile

Lovely little coffee shop with a brilliant retro theme with 60s and 70s music being played on a vintage record player was a very nice touch. The coffee was very good and well priced the cakes looked amazing and I liked the vintage memorabilia that you could be in the shop aswell :-)

“Had coffee only but it was excellent”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 23, 2013

Was in St Ives as a bit of a whistle stop tour of the cornwall coast. Came across this place and it is very unique and unusual inside. The place has so many quirky aspects but the one that was the surprise is the record player and album. Made to feel welcome from the minute arriving, saw many people having loose tea which looked great and the waitresses taking their time on how long best to leave it and how to pour it to get the best flavour. Took our order quickly, the flavour of the coffee was excellent. Good to get hot milk as well, served in a school milk bottle. Great place with what looked a great choice of cakes.

“Amazing tea, amazing coffee, amazing cake”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 17, 2013

Wonderful fresh leaf teas served complete with a timer to get the perfect brew :) I reccommend sitting on the table by the window - great view out into St Ives harbour and an ideal spot for people/bird/boat/seal spotting. Oh, and the carrot cake is to die for.

“Very unique”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 7, 2013

We came upon this little, quaint, different café quite by chance really. We were looking for a cream tea and noticed a little sign by some stairs pointing to what you would think is a shop. It is definitely dwarfed by the waffle shop underneath it. We went upstairs and were lucky enough to get the only table in the little window. There was more seating at the back of the shop which looked comfortable. There were displays of vintage items on sale around the shop/café. The staff were very friendly and explained how the tea leafs and the diffuser worked and were more than happy to fill it up with more hot water when needed. Our cream tea was very scrummy but could have done with a bit more cream - but then again is there every enough cream?
Where we were sitting was great for people watching, taking in the view and winding down. The smell coming from the waffle place downstairs was quite strong and sweet but t was also good fun watching who was eating what outside lol
Worth a visit
