“Loved it !!”

White Waves Guest House

Sep 15, 2007

We have just enjoyed a fantastic stay at White Waves Guest House. Although we were only there for one night we couldn't have been made to feel more welcome. Howie was a fantastic host and made our stay very comfortable and enjoyable.

We stayed in the master double bedroom with a fantastic view of St Ives. The room was perfect and spotlessly clean. The bathroom is down the hall but dont let this put you off as it really is not a problem.

Breakfast was delicious and nothing was too much trouble. The atmosphere around the breakfast table was so relaxed and friendly we could have sat there all morning !

White waves is in a great location and St Ives is one of the most beautifull places in the world !

Howie is the sort of person that you warm to immediately and he makes you feel welcome from the moment you make your booking until the day that you leave. I hope it wont be too long until we will be returning to White Waves for another enjoyable stay.

Howie and andy were the epitome of how a b&b should be run,i.e the feeling that you are in a home rather than a business establishment.
My self and daughter arrived off the night sleeper and were greeted warmly and given a welcome drink. The food was very filling and plentiful and of high quality.Very clean room and nice touches which my daughter really appreciated like the nice fudge and sweets left in the room .Very handy for the town centre.extremely comfy beds and duvets
I would definetely use again

White Waves should be declared a National Treasure - as How To Do Hospitality with a capital H. Yes Howie, tis thee!

All I can really do is to reiterate 99% of the reviews on this site, and the remaining churls and ingrates can go ...elsewhere. And I speak as one who has stayed in hotels, guest houses, mud huts and GKW all over the planet.

A joy.

We just returned from a trip to Cornwall where we stayed for five nights at the White Waves Guest House. We had originally planned to stay four nights, but we enjoyed St. Ives and the White Waves so much we had to stay one extra night!

We had the Master Double bedroom for the first four nights and absolutely loved it. The views from the large windows are stunning and we enjoyed sipping a glass of wine or some cider on the settee in front of the bay window almost every evening. This was incredibly relaxing and probably the highlight of our trip! The room is very spacious and although your toilet and bathroom are down the hall, it's no problem as Howie provided a robe for us to use. Our last night we stayed in the cosy Crow's Nest, which also offered nice views of the harbour from the window. The tv in this room had its own DVD player, but we didn't end up using it as we were enjoying listening to the seagulls instead!

The breakfasts Howie made us were delicious and he offers several choices. I loved having the vegetarian options as I'm not a huge meat eater. I ordered something different almost every morning, and he even wrapped up what I couldn't eat to take with me as a snack for later.

The service at White Waves is among the best I've ever had in a B&B. The place was absolutely spotless from top to bottom, and Howie worked hard to be a great host, making our experience truly memorable. We'd definitely stay at White Waves again.
