When we arrived at White Waves, Howie welcomed us and showed us around - it was great getting good tips from him about restaurants and the surroundings of St Ives. The Crow's Nest is a lovely room, fully equipped with what you need. Breakfast is fantastic, with Howie cooking a la minute.
We would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a relaxing weekend in the beautiful town of St Ives.

We stayed in "the crow's nest" for 4 nights during April and were throughly impressed. The room and bathroom were pristinely clean and contained everything we needed. The view from the bedroom window was fantastic offereing views of the whole of St Ives bay.
Breakfast in the morning was brilliant with a great choice and more than enough quality food.
Howie and Andy were very welcoming and friendly and made the stay very enjoyable.

Overall we would recommend White Waves to anyone and will cetainly stay there again on return to St Ives.

“Wonderful Whitewaves”

White Waves Guest House

Wonderful Whitewaves & wonderful Howie and Andy

We’ve just returned from our second visit to Whitewaves Guest House in St Ives, Cornwall. Having travelled a very long distance, our last leg of the journey being on the “Night Riviera” sleeper train from Paddington (with no sleep), we arrived early morning in the cold pouring rain and howling wind.

Exhausted, and with a flu bug trying its best to spoil our holiday, we were warmly greeted by Howie, who, seeing that we were at the point of collapse, whisked up one of his fantastic Cornish breakfasts and somehow managed to have our room ready for us in a trice, even though our holiday didn’t officially start until later that day.

That warmest of welcomes and friendliness is, to us, the calling card of this wonderful little guest house which overlooks the bay.

We stayed in the master bedroom, again, and with such comfort and magnificent views, it was no hardship at all to be confined to these surroundings until we had recovered from the journey and the flu.

Back on track and the remainder of our stay in St Ives was fantastic, lots to do and see, we visited the Hepworth Museum and sculpture gardens and they were just so inspiring, we have no hesitation in recommending a visit. St Ives is relaxed with winding streets and lots of small independent shops, and none of the large chain stores or usual suspects that you get in every other identikit town.

The best and the most interesting shop however is the one where you can actually shop while eating your breakfast! Yes, Andy who is an artist and who owns his own little gallery in the town has a selection of his paintings and his rather lovely delicate and unusual jewellery pieces right next to the breakfast table!!

Andy’s gallery can be found at the bottom of the old stone steps which lead down from Whitewaves towards the town. It is a brightly painted little shop which holds a myriad of wonderful things & surprises, and I guarantee you will find something there that you will just have to buy…

So, this was our second visit to see Howie and Andy but it most certainly won’t be our last… This is the perfect way to unwind from the stress and the clamour of the 21st century. Viva Whitewaves!!

“Howie and Andy's empire”

White Waves Guest House

We have just spent our third holiday in St.Ives at White waves with the wonderful Howie and Andy.
They do hospitality with a capital H!!
Generous, kind, welcoming, friendly and so much more, our trips to Cornwall are so comfortable and it is like staying with good friends, we cannot recommend white waves highly enough.
Andy's a talented artist also and now has a small shop in St.Ives so along with Howies sumtuous breakfasts, this Guest House should be your first port of call if you are planning a trip to Cornwall.

keep up the fishing Howie!!

Love
