I stayed for 1 night to attend a family funeral; staff very friendly and helpful; tiny room, but clean & adequate with extra pillows in wardrobe; no space for suitcase though. People sitting outside were chatting until after midnight, but otherwise, it was quiet. Plenty of PG teabags, and Nescafe normal & decaf coffee with milk & sugar on tea tray. Only quibble, the bath/shower taps were awful! Big, round taps with buttons to push as well, too close to the wall to be practical. I couldn't get them to work & had to ask for assistance. The girl was friendly and helpful, but when I tried to adjust the temperature, it switched itself off and I couldn't get it to work again! I ended up having a strip wash and wash my hair in the sink!
Excellent breakfast with choice of cereals, fruit juices, tea or coffee, brown or white toast and full English.
I was allowed to leave my luggage in the cloakroom for the day and pick it up later, and used the large washbasin area of the toilets as a changing room to change back into my travelling clothes.
All in all, an excellent hotel, but they do need to get more user-friendly shower fitments.
