Set back from the masses of eateries and pubs in St Ives is the wonderful Cornish Deli.
It's kind of tucked away which suited us as we don't care much for things getting too busy and we have a dog which most places won't allow in when eating.
We were greeted very warmly indeed, as was our hound, which is always nice.
The menu was fairly extensive, offering all day brunches to sandwiches and filled baguettes. Also more substantial mains or just coffee and cake.
I had the chorizo with fried eggs and cooked balsamic tomatoes, not something I've ever seen on a menu before but it was sublime, washed down with a Betty Stoggs- bliss.
Simple things make the difference and when asked if the chorizo would be sliced or in chunks the reply was ' how would you like it'.
Blimey an eatery that asks the customer how they would like it to me is doing it all right.
A fantastic little place, small in size but huge in service and looking after the customer, oh and the foods damn good too.
You know you are on to a winner when the only other people eating and drinking are locals.
