“Away from the throng but all the better for it.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 14, 2013

Set back from the masses of eateries and pubs in St Ives is the wonderful Cornish Deli.
It's kind of tucked away which suited us as we don't care much for things getting too busy and we have a dog which most places won't allow in when eating.
We were greeted very warmly indeed, as was our hound, which is always nice.
The menu was fairly extensive, offering all day brunches to sandwiches and filled baguettes. Also more substantial mains or just coffee and cake.
I had the chorizo with fried eggs and cooked balsamic tomatoes, not something I've ever seen on a menu before but it was sublime, washed down with a Betty Stoggs- bliss.
Simple things make the difference and when asked if the chorizo would be sliced or in chunks the reply was ' how would you like it'.
Blimey an eatery that asks the customer how they would like it to me is doing it all right.
A fantastic little place, small in size but huge in service and looking after the customer, oh and the foods damn good too.
You know you are on to a winner when the only other people eating and drinking are locals.

We had a late breakfast here and the food and service was just great. They also have a nice range of deli produce. Highly recommended.

“'I don't believe it' - how have we not discovered the Deli before!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 23, 2012

We've been regulars to St.Ives for years coming down in Spring and Autumn. This is the first time we spotted the Cornish Deli.

We were hooked, quite possibly the friendliest welcome we've ever experienced and the lunch was better than any we have had elsewhere in Town.

We came back the next day, it was just as good. The challenge will be not eating here every day when we come back in the spring! Even we aren't that boring, but it is that good!

“Hidden Gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 20, 2012

Only a little off the beaten track, but good restaurants often are! It serves really good quality fresh home cooked food in unpretentious surroundings. Certainly worth searching out and i'd definitely go back again!

“Fabulous food, great service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 18, 2012 via mobile

What a surprise. Tucked away on a back street in st Ives and without the frills of some of the better known places the food and service is not bettered anywhere. Like previous post try the chilli con carne if its on the menu. Best you'll taste anywhere.
