“Great museum, bigger than it looks.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 10, 2013

There is a LOT to see in this museum! Certainly worth a visit - or two. The museum covers several floors, and provides a very good overview of St Ives and the area.

I really enjoyed the old newspaper articles about St.Ives that were posted, as well as information about the long history of shipwrecks and valiant lifesaving.

I look forward to the completeon of the new pilchard display!

“a little gem, great value”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 6, 2013

Went here on a wet afternoon and were amazed. So much random stuff crammed in such an unprepossessing building. It is impossible to take it all in during just one visit, so go back again and again.

“Good for local history”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 1, 2013

Lots of interesting artefacts from the locality, both domestic, but also for trades, fishing and mining. The photos are particularly interesting and copies of most can be ordered. There are a lot of steps, first to get in, then to go down to visit other floors. Its an old building and I didn't see a sign of lifts or other means of access.

“Good LOCAL Museum”

There is a wealth of information and artefacts from the St Ives area. Well worth the visit; we should have made it last trip, too.

“St Ives Museum”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 19, 2013

Really enjoyed our visit last year.

Some interesting stuff on display, including a lot of coverage of The Torrey Canyon disaster, didn't realise it was that long ago.

There's a tail for the kids to follow, which keeps them amused.

Only £2 to get in is a bargain and worth a second visit when we return to St Ives next month.
