“Annual family holiday”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 14, 2014 for a stay in April 2014

Beautifully presented Edwardian house in a quiet part of the top end of town; minutes from one of the sandy beaches. Plenty of room for a large family. Kitchen was well supplied and a TV in every room! Cracking views of the town's harbour from the kitchen. Wonderful views of the sea from the top floor bedroom and the back bedroom. Large family sitting room and diner. I would have preferred a kingsized bed in the back bedroom instead of the standard double. However all the beds were comfy and the linen of a high quality.
We loved staying here and would definately stay again. The agent Sarah was very helpful and even offered to send on some gifts we left in the cottage.

“A really interesting house....with everything in it and around it to make for a perfect family holiday.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 17, 2014 for a stay in April 2014

Michaelmas Cottage was ideal for our wide range of ages - 6 months to 63! The weather was sunny but chilly and the heating was very efficient. The views were gorgeous. The kitchen was well stocked and we cooked several lovely meals for large numbers. Bathroom space (2 of them ensuite) was plenty for the large number we were. Great having the den/snug in the cellar. The kids slept in there for a few nights! Board games, books and DVD's in abundance as well as several TV's.
The house is a 3 minute pretty walk away from shops, cafes, art galleries, pubs, fish and chip shops (lovely fresh fish) and the harbour. However it is also only 3 minutes walk away from lovely beaches and coastal walks. The sweet little coast railway station is just round the corner. The house is very well placed for everything. Parking for 2 cars was really useful at the house but we were also only a short walk from the Railway station car park where the third car could go as we bought a week long stay parking permit from the County Council.
As well as enjoying St Ives itself we spend many hours exploring nearby villages, beaches, walks. We enjoyed being so close to St Michael's Mount. There is so much to do in and around St Ives for all the family.
We definitely want to return next year. Tim and Sue

“Home from home!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 10, 2013 for a stay in April 2013

A well-equipped, family friendly place, plenty of room to relax as a group and spacious bedrooms. Great location, gorgeous views and just a few minutes walk from the centre of St Ives (steep hill but good for working off all those cornish pasties!). Sarah the owner was really helpful and accommodating during our stay. We had a fantastic time and would definitely return to Michaelmas Cottage, it felt just like our home from home :)

“A wonderful house with plenty of room”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 28, 2012 for a stay in October 2012

We had a lovely stay in this house. There was plenty of room for all of us-we stayed with my parents and my in laws, so we needed a big house! The bedrooms are spacious, each bedroom has a bathroom (except bunk bed room which we didnt use, which shares a bathroom) and the views from two of the rooms are just amazing. The hill is a little steep to get to town but it's very very near-so you aren't walking for long. It's just near the bus station. The only issue we had was that there was only one set of keys on arrival, so we had to get in touch with the owner twice to get an extra set (much needed with lots of people in one house) but once we had them it was a lovely relaxing stay. I would recommend and return again.
