“Very comfortable, friendly hotel with glorious views”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 21, 2011

We've been to this hotel a number of times and have always found it relaxing and friendly and, even though on this occasion there was a new management team, the aura of calm service was the same. We didn't take dinner at the hotel but the advertised menu looked excellent. However, the breakfast buffet was extensive and tasty. My wife wanted to take the bed home with her it was so comfortable! If you suffer walking difficulties you'll need a taxi ride from town as the hotel sits quite some distance up an, at times, very steep hill.

Very friendly service and room was very clean, especially the bathroom which was spotless.
Great location with sea views and only a 10 minute walk into St.Ives. This was important as no facillitiles in the hotel for children.
Breakfast selection was good and all food was hot and/or freshly cooked.
Overall this hotel was excellent value for money and I would use the hotel again and recommend to friends and family.

Room Tip: Room 11 : Not a deluxe room but had a sea view.

A nice hotel. Lovely bar area that overlooks the bay. Rooms comfortable. 10 minute walk to the centre of St Ives but is up hill coming back!. Very close to a beautiful beach. Handy for the train station.

Good service with splendid large rooms and an outlook to match the finest views in the most beautiful of seaside towns . We as agroup booked four rooms and could not have been any better served in terms of comfort and ample breakfasts .

On arrival the front of house staff could not have been more helpfull and very polite.
The room had plenty of space with a plesant decor.
Food was excellent with very quick and friendly service plenty of choice on the menu.
Easy walking distance of the town center with great views of the sea from the front of the hotel.
A very pleasant stay made more enjoyable with the wonderful staff at the Chy-An-Albany

Spent a very pleasant 4 nights in this hotel at the end of March. All the staff seemed happy and cheerful. Our room was clean, tidy, but rather small, (we had booked, and were paying for a delux double room described as spacious, and offering the best sea views that the hotel could offer) This was rather disappointing. Neverthless in all other aspects, the hotel came up to our expectations.

Nice little hotel with very (and I mean VERY) small rooms (at least the standard ones). Flat screen TV and tea/coffee facilities in the room. Located within 10 minute walk from shops and art galleries. We went to St Ives for work reasons and had booked this hotel mainly because of the free WiFi but we only got it for a few hours on our first day; we didn't have WiFi internet access again during the 4 days of our stay. When we asked they said that it was because of the rainy weather (!!!).
Comfortable and clean hotel but lack of internet access was disappointing.
