Unfortunately the Tate St Ives does not, unlike the excellent Tate Liverpool, house a rotating permanent collection alongside special exhibitions. As a result, the current Simon Fujiwara exhibition disappoints. It is in fact the biggest load of nonsense masquerading as modern art I have ever seen. Just because someone comes from St Ives doenst mean they are an artist! My advise is to take a look at the reviews for the rotating special exhibitions to see if it is worth the prices of admission, which for some reason is more expensive if you gift aid it. The building is worth a look though, but you can do that from the outside. Penlee House in Penzance is much better, and cheaper!
