I stayed at The Keep for two nights at the end of May, and was delighted with the place and the people. The rooms are very clean and very comfortable, and the breakfasts are delicious. Carol and Mike could not have been more friendly or helpful, and this distinctly added to the pleasure of my stay. They manage to maintain a balance between making you feel like guests in their home and providing a service for you to be as independent a traveller as you wish. The location is great for those of us who like the slightly quieter side of St Ives, hardly any distance from Porthmeor Beach and the Island (great for a walk before breakfast to work up an appetite) and minutes from the Tate. Carol responded to my booking request very promptly, and sent helpful instructions for getting there from the train station. I hadn't stayed in St Ives before, though I've visited lots of times, and will definitely be returning to stay at The Keep.
