“A nice meal out”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 14, 2013

As well as a restaurant, there’s also a wine shop (selling cider, cheeses and other local produce as well as wines), a deli and a café. The restaurant does breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as drinks outside those times. There’s a take-away menu available from 12-3pm.
We had the 3-dish £18 menu: the portions were good as was the food although the choice didn’t seem great if we’d been vegetarians. There were only 3 options for dessert, including cheese. You can apparently order a bottle of wine from the shop if you’re dining there (for a little extra on top of the retail price).
There was also a tapas menu displayed on a blackboard at the till / bar that we only found out about at the end of the meal.
The staff was available and attentive. They automatically brought us a jug of water without us having asked which was nice.
There are half a dozen parking spaces in front of the shop.

“best food out i've had in a very long time”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 8, 2013

really wonderful food in this daytime deli night time tapas restaurant. small but excellent range of dishes - all delicious. I couldn't recommend this more highly - and do try the Panna Cotta with homemade Turkish delight if it's available - the best desert I've had in a very long time!

“A touch of Cornish class!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 2, 2013

We arrived late afternoon when the kitchen was closed. However, we were made most welcome and were served highly appetising cheese and olives with a delicious glass of wine from their impressive collection. Scarlet Wines was strongly recommended by our hotelier and certainly didn't disappoint. We will certainly return and dine on our next visit.
