We visited this pool for a day out as a small group of friends whilst visiting Penzance on a cloudy summers day. On arrival to the jubilee pool, we saw the flags, which were attractive, also we had a small glimpse of the pool which we would be entering. The prices were good, if you bring proof that you live in Cornwall, you can save some money which could go towards an extra like an ice cream etc.
Unfortunately, the changing rooms that are at the pool do not have doors or curtains on them so they are completely open. I would advise wearing your swimming costume to the pool so you don't have to get fully changed whilst here. The toilets are a bit shabby too, they could do with some updating.
If you decide to visit this pool on a day where the sun is not out I would advise you to WEAR A WETSUIT. The pool is so cold that the only way to get used to the water is to jump in, then stay in for at least an hour straight. Once you have got used to how cold the pool is, you can realise just exactly how big and spacious it is. In my opinion, this would be a good pool that you could take your kids too and teach them how to swim. Only if they have a wetsuit of course. I brought a ball with me to use in the pool which was a great idea, an extra thing to do in this large pool.
I would visit this pool again, but only on a day when it is sunny!
