“Beautiful House with Superb Service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 19, 2012

After arriving late and well after the normal check in hours following our journey from the Midlands, my husband, 6 year old and I were still welcomed by Pete who then showed us to our room. The room was very tastefully decorated, spacious and comfortable with its own en-suite. Perfect for getting ready for the wedding in the morning! The breakfast was beautiful and set us up for the day with plenty of choice for any tastes which was held in the large dining area.
The house if full of character and stories as well as beautiful grounds - unfortunately, we just did not have enough time there. Definately worth a trip back!

Stunning house dating back to Queen Anne and has been in the same family for 7 generations. Because of this there is a lot of love evident in the painstaking restoration of the site from the family heirlooms and antiques on show inside to the attractive gardens outside. We stayed one night in the Southey room which overlooks the grounds. This room (like the other 3) has been meticulously decorated to a high standard whilst retaining the original charm of the house. There is an excellent modern shower room with a fab heated towel rail. The tea/coffee facilities are a notch above the norm and breakfast is sourced from local suppliers, plentiful and very tasty.

This is a family run b&b and although we didn't meet Dad who I believe is a charming host and very knowledgeable about his ancestral home his children Georgina and Pete are doing a splendid job, we felt very welcome. It's handy for all the local attractions and only 5 minutes drive from Penzance station if arriving by train. And incredibly it's a bargain at only £70 a night!

All in all a delightful place to visit.

An amazing place near Penzance. Part of this family owned stately home has been converted intoa bed and breakfast. The setting is amazing. Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts. Extremely good value. Very good quality breakfast.

We only had time for one night here but I would imagine the house would make a great base whilst exploring the area. My room was very comfortable and I slept like a log. The breakfast was excellent with home made bread and the family happy to chat about the house's history and the TV program ' Country House Rescue'. The grounds are very picturesque and internal rooms have been used recently for scenes in the film Summer in February which will be out later this year.

Room Tip: I saw three rooms and they all looked OK..

5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 5, 2012 via mobile

The room was modern and fresh while the rest of the house keeps its original decor and charm. Breakfasts in the morning were lovely and we especially enjoyed the fresh orange juice. The location is great for Penzance and Mousehole as they are only a 5 minute drive or taxi ride away, which is handy for evenings out. The manager Peter is very helpful in suggesting places to visit and things to see and always made us feel welcome. We really enjoyed our stay here and think its great value for money.

Family home with long history you can feel in every room, beautiful garden and very convenient location to visit Cornwall. Rooms / bathrooms have been fully refurbished recently and to the highest standards but you have your breakfast in the old family dining room. Make sure you like this unique combination of an old family house with cracks and oldies and fully refurbished rooms. Exactly what we were looking for.

The Le Grice were very nice, flexible and welcoming and the food was just perfect.

Definitely recommend.

our stay at trereife house was the nicest in a long time and definitively worth driving all the way down from London! The Le Grices are such nice people and were super helpful with everything concerning our stay and day trips. They gave us advice and planned all meals according to our schedule. All the nature around trereife house is so wonderful and relaxing, we could have stayed for much longer. Can't wait to return!!!
