“Amazing theatre with wonderful views”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 4, 2013

This is a real must.Sadly we went when the season had not started for watching a play but still worth going to visit.
The views from the theatre were stunning even though it was cold and windy.
The lady at the reception was not very friendly (must have had a bad day!).
Definitely worth a visit.

“Just love this place!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 3, 2013

You really need to book beforehand so you won't be disappointed, and then hope for a fine, summer's evening and then if the planets collide, you're in for a treat! Superlative views of the sea and coast and then ( usually) g8 theatre; a fantastic, unique, experience and one not to be missed! Think of the Globe theatre on the Southbank, London, but overlooking the sea, with the waves crashing against the shore and all set in a magnificent amphitheatre. Bring a picnic and a blanket and something comfy to sit on so you are all snug and really- what's not to love? A truly quintessential Cornish experience and one not to be missed!!

“Wonderful - just go there!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 27, 2013

If you don't know Minack just look up their website. It is an outdoor theatre with the most fantastic views.
Don't worry if you are not a "theatre person" - it doesn't matter what the play is, the setting means you will enjoy!
My favourite time is a summer evening event - take a picnic and watch the sea as you eat.
If you have never been there before just go anyway. Don't worry about what the play is.
Take a picnic.
Take warm clothes for when the sun goes down - it can be chilly!
Take something soft to sit on. You sit on a grass bank or concrete seats.
They have a great cafe with the most fantastic views
Just go!

“Minack made our trip to Cornwall”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 26, 2013

We attended the Proms in September and it was an incredible experience. The theater is awesome and the views of the ocean are incredible. The Proms were typically British and the fact you can eat and drink in the theater made it an occasion. If you are in Cornwall, don't miss the Minack!

“An amazing setting, well worth a visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 22, 2013

This is an amazing open air theatre, carved into the cliffs overlooking the most fantastic coastal scenery. It is worth visiting even when there isn't a play on just for the views and the experience. Not very suitable for people with mobility issues because there are loads of steps (although check with the venue because I did see wheelchair ramps in some places). There is a small cafe on site and a gift shop with some unusual theatrical gifts. There is also an exhibition showing the story of the development of the Minack. More than anything, though, go on a nice day and appreciate the beautiful scenery or stand on the stage and pretend to be Olivier!
