“Destination Seafood Restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2012

Perfect in every way. Right on the beach / harbour. Seafood straight off the boat. Relaxed outdoor dining with awning over tables. A pool with all the crabs swimming in it! Child friendly with high chair, food and service amazing. Best we had in Newquay. Roast Pollock gravy yorkshire pud and trimmings for Sunday lunch. Bonkers but loved it!!

“Good food - nice ambiance and location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2012

A nice harbourside restaurant with an intimate, friendly ambiance. Food was very good with a good selection of wines. Waitresses were friendly and attentive, giving advice and suggestions on meal choices. A great restaurant situated away from the weekend commotion of Newquay town centre. Make sure you book though as it's popular and a steep hike back up the hill if there aren't any sittings!

“GREAT FIRST VISIT”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 23, 2012

Visited a few weeks back to celebrate my daughters exam results and what can I say?

I have been visiting Newquay since the late 70`s and visited countless restaurants in the days when Newquay had premium eating houses in abundance so it was great to find this gem.

Without loads of waffle ...Polite staff, great food, outstanding location..enough said if in the Newquay area and you love seafood treat yourself and book a table you will not be disappointed.

“Great restaurant in Newquay harbour - perfect”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 23, 2012 via mobile

We always feel welcome at the boathouse. Fish doesn't get fresher and their crab and lobsters, straight from the sea to the plate must be the best ever...perfect with a bottle of Sancerre. Very relaxed atmosphere. Cass and Roger do fine job.

“If you love seafood you must eat here!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 22, 2012

My partner and i decided to eat here after having a chat with some local people who could not recommend it enough and we were not disappointed!

I am fairly new to seafood and my partner has been eating it for years so was a lot more excited about this place than i was but the food really surpassed anything i could have imagined!

We ordered the half fruit de mers which consisted of a half lobster, about 4 or 5 crab claws, 3 small fish (possibly mackerel) and a tonne of mussles. All of it was cooked in a creamy white wine sauce which was totally amazing. The fish couldnt have been fresher! The lobster was picked out the tank in front of the restaurant right before the chef went off to cook it!

We had some lovely fresh bread with the meal and it really was like nothing i have ever ate before. We polished the whole lot off!

I cannot recommend this place enough! If you love seafood then dont miss out on this place!
