4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 16, 2013

This is a very comfortable 3 star hotel, right on the cliff edge. We had a lovely warm welcome and introduction to the hotels facilities and menu's. The second floor room with sea view was warm, clean and with a fairly recently refurbished bathroom. There is a pool, which was warm and clean.Breakfast in the morning was very good, served by cheerful, helpful ladies. We will certainly book again and would recommend anytime.

My partner & I had reason to stay overnight in Newquay for a night and chose the Trebarwith Hotel. We were greeted at the reception by a Lady who I assume was the Proprietor of the Hotel, she was to say the least extremely charming and could not have been more helpful. This helpful attitude is shared by every member of staff we met during our short stay. It was also a pleasant surprise to be waited on at breakfast by what I assume are ‘local’ mature staff, unfortunately something that one finds less and less these days. We would not hesitate to book again at the Trebarwith.
P.S. I do not beleive it is possible to be any nearer the sea without actualy being in it, also there is secure parking right outside with no extra charges. A couple of the other hotels we looked at wanted to charge around £10.00 to park in their car park! Another plus was the bed was comfy, one of the most important factors, often overlooked by hotel management.

Room Tip: We were very kindly offered a sea view room, it was a superb view. I could have sat there all day ju...

We dined at the trebarwith after spying their new offer: 2 steaks and a bottle of wine for 30 pounds. We were given a sea view table, in their spacious dinning room. Lovely atmosphere, and stunning view of Newquay's bay. Steaks came quickly, served on a hot stone, so we were able to cook them to our liking. This was accompanied by a generous portion of chips, various different sauces, and a side of fresh salad. Wine was of a good quality, and nicely chilled. Service was also prompt and friendly. We enjoyed a good quality coffee in the bar afterwards, before leaving.

If you're not lucky enough to reserve a room at the Trebarwith, I recommend that you do try and visit the hotel for a bite to eat or drink. The views are unbeatable, and it's refreshing to come across a place which doesn't expect you to pay unreasonable prices to enjoy such scenery.

Will definitely be taking advantage of this offer again soon...

A group of 15 stayed at the Trebarwith Hotel at the end of October 2012. We all had a great time. Although whilst our stay was right at the very end of the season, nothing was too much trouble should we want anything. The staff were great especially at breakfast. The room we stayed in was good, although the bathroom was very dated. The swimming pool was very good. The views from our room were stunning, over looking the cliffs onto a great beech. We were lucky as soon as we checked in we went outside and saw a pod of dolphins just off the shore line. I would certainly stay here again either with a bunch of golfing mates or with my girlfriend should i be down this way again.

Room Tip: Definately ask for a sea view, to the rear of the hotel is a Royal Mail collection centre, if your a...

Stayed at this hotel for one night, four of us for a 40th birthday, fantastic views, hotel clean, pool lovely and not too cold, breakfast great, near all the shops and pubs. Would definitely stay again!

We stayed here as part of a surfing package and were pleasantly surprised. The building is an older one and the rooms are furbished in an older style, however I haven't stayed in a hotel as clean as this before! The owners clearly look after it very well and I was impressed.
The breakfast was absolutely delicious and the B&B rates offer extremely good value for money.

The staff were really friendly and I like the family-owner style the hotel appears to have. Surf school is pretty much attached to the hotel which gives easy access. The swimming pool was a real surprise as was huge for the underneath of a hotel!

Only quibble would be after we had finished our surfing lesson and wanted a nice hot shower, it worked for about 2-minutes and then just stopped working. No water came through. We didn't have the energy to go down and complain so just took baths instead (which in the long run was nicer anyway as we were freezing!) I am sure from the service they provided though had we bothered, they would have made every attempt to rectify the solution. So this isn't really their fault, only our sheer laziness!

Views are to die for! I would recommend to anyone looking for a central hotel in Newquay.
