“Quirky choice for a 21st birthday”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 1, 2014

Daughter chose this recently opened Australian restaurant for her 21st. Forget those tacky Aussie theme bars, this was in a different league altogether. Friendly and efficient service, relaxed atmosphere and a varied menu combining the best of Australia and Cornwall including lots of fish and seafood. Impressive and reasonably priced wine list, wish we had had room to try the home made desserts. Next time maybe. Well done guys see you again soon.

“Best restaurant in Newquay ”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 31, 2014

We visited this restaurant last night for a birthday meal, would highly recommend! We all agreed that the food was delicious and service great. Probably wouldn't have noticed it if it wasn't for the reviews on trip advisor as there are so many restaurants in town, this one definitely stands out now though, can't wait to go back!

“Breakfast with a twist!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2014

Delicious! Homemade veggie sausages in a range of flavours (and us veggies never get much choice), a fry up with foccacia, pesto, Cornish yarg alongside the classics. A breath of fresh air! Good price too!

“Good times!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2014 via mobile

The kangaroo and richly, yet very subtly north African spiced sauce was amazing. The terrine lacked finesse and had no black pudding in it, though the chorizo running through it was excellent. Deserts were refreshing, however the pavlova was a throwback to the 70 and also needed a bit of refining. Wine list wasn't great either. However, the food is excellently cooked and presented, tasted great and it's genuinely original and unpretentious.

“Excellent Seafood - rare in Newquay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2014

We found this Australian Restuarant whilst looking for some seafood, there are not many around in Newquay dispite its seaside location, those few that are there are very expensive for what is often a relatively cheap food in its raw state - and not difficult to cook. The service was attentive and not overbearing, polite and cheery, always nice to see a smile. There were 5 of us and we all enjoyed the food. Kangaroo and Aligator were also on the menu. We will return.
