Description: We are a husband & wife team Ryan & Kelly Mather. We have been restauranteurs for the last 8 years. Combined we have a huge amount of experience in hospitality and have worked in many different countries using our skills to fund our travels. Previously known as Kahuna we relocated almost 2 years ago and renamed our resturant Little Kahuna due to the size. We love how intimate our new location is and the sucess of our first restaurant on Tolcarne beach gave us the confidence to open in the centre of town. Of course we will miss our beach side location but we are no longer dependent upon the weather and can open our doors all year round rather than being a seasonal business! Little Kahuna boasts an open kitchen which creates a really special dining experience. We are open for dinner from 6pm tues - sat. We are closed sun & mon off season! Lavazza is our preferred brand of coffee. We have a well priced vibrant wine menu, good selection of local & international beers, ciders, spirits & soft drinks and indulgent desserts to temp your taste buds. Our menu? Currently a combination of dishes from Thailand, Asia, Malaysia, Vietnam & India which stems from years of travelling. We aim to change our menu every few months and like to include a good selection of vegetarian dishes which are popular with everyone not just the veggies! The team are friendly, knowledgeable and most of all appreciate the importance of delivering a seamless service. Nothing is too much trouble. We want you to come back time and time again and have exactly the same standard of food and service. Our name reflects the size of the restaurant, we only have seven tables so it's always advisable to book ahead to avoid any dissapointment! See you soon!

“Nice!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 5, 2013

Although there was a sign outside stating the restaurant was fully booked that night I asked if I could have "takeaway". The chef could not have been more helpful and was happy to oblige. I placed my order and they gave me a time they would be ready so I called back and bang on que my food was being boxed up and ready to go. I chose the sticky ribs and they were def the best I have had. Gorgeous! All the staff were nice and friendly.

“Little Kahuna is a little gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 5, 2013

We visited this little restaurant having read the reviews on here and have to say this is truly a magical little place. It's really not much to look at from the outside and only has about 5 or 6 tables so best to book in advance, although we were lucky enough to just walk in with no reservation. The staff were friendly and the waiting times for each course were minimal. The food was absolutely delicious, every course was full of flavours and all cooked freshly in the front of the restaurant . This is an absolute gem and if you only visit one restaurant in newquay make sure it's this one, you will not be disappointed. We will definately be returning.

“Sorry. Massively overrated. Won't return.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2013 via mobile

Starters very expensive. Mains too. We didn't enjoy the meal or the stupid baskets the fries came in. Main far too sweet. Service ok but forced pleasantries. Can't believe its no one in Newquay. It doesn't deserve it.

“Very Good Indeed”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 1, 2013

A friend who lives locally recommended Little Kahuna and a quick glance at trip advisor confirmed
we should try this restaurant, when we were in Newquay for a few days. I requested a reservation via e mail as the line was always busy and it was very short notice. Lucky for us I got a call on the day to say they had a cancellation and we could have a table. We had a superb meal there, which was very good value. The Only disappointment for me was they didn't serve Singha Beer, which would have accompanied the asian dishes better than Asahi.
