During my three and a half week stay at Newquay International Backpackers i was offered what most people try to look for when booking cheap accommodation, i.e. a central location, small sized dorm rooms and a working order kitchen.

The added benefit i also appreciated was that the staff were quite helpful and, along with fellow backpackers, were also sociable. This allowed the vibe to be relaxed and easy going, which is recommendable for a first time/lone traveler as there is people there to socialise with but whom also respect your own quiet time.

Ultimately it is down to the individual to make the most of their stay but personally the great time i had in Newquay can mostly be attributed to my stay at International Backpackers and the people i met there.

I travelled all over Western Europe the summer of '03 and I'd have to say the stay at this place was the best time of my trip. Newquay itself is wicked but experiencing it with all sorts of people is even better.
The hostel has a real family sort of feel, everyone is friends and everyone parties together. The place itself is really close to the stores and the beach and the manager (Ren!) is just as likely to go and get pissed with you as the next person. Good times all round. If your in Newquay this is the place to stay.

Had the best time of my life in newquay and it wouldnt have been the same without newquay backpackers. i love it!!! and wouldnt stay anywhere else if i went back. I MISS MY MAMA REN!

Had the best time here. People are so friendly, really welcoming and that is a big bonus for a female travelling alone. Made to feel part of the family - they even have a dog! Close to all nightclife and beautiful beaches. The hostel is well set up for surfers. Rooms were clean and comfy. Management were very helpful and friendly. All in all a great place to stay!
