“A little jewel!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 1, 2014

Nicola the owner goes out of her way to make sure the guests enjoy their stay. She even remember guests' like and dislikes for breakfast. The next time I stay in Newquay, The Ravensbury will be my first choice and I'd be disappointed if no vacancies. Five minutes from a magnificent beach, 10-15 minutes walk from town, a decent bar a couple of minutes away and in a quiet area. This is a budget hotel with 5*service!

Stayed for 3 nights with partner and youngest child, had a family room with ensuite shower. Nice and comfortable, clean with tea making facilities. Best part of the room was the incredible view of Fistral Beach from the window. £45 per night, including breakfast was a great deal. The breakfast was very nice too, and our host was a very friendly lady. Definitely would recommend it.

Room Tip: Family room at the top has a great view

Stayed here for 3 nights during half term with my partner and my 2 year old.

Had a family room at the top of the B&B. Room was excellent with a double and a single bed. Room had a small en suite bathroom. The view from the bedroom window was of fistral beach and the headland.

The breakfast was second to none all quality ingredients.

The owner was so friendly and helpful.

Would highly recommend the Ravensbury.

Would definitely be trying to book here again.

A quiet and lovely place. Nick is a wonderful women, always smiling and so warm. Breakfast was good and quick. We also got sightseeing tips from her those came handy. We recommend it to anybody who is looking for a home like environment and in budget.

My husband and I stayed here for 2 days whilst visiting local friends. We had a 'budget' room which was perfectly adequate for what we needed with en suite facilities. Our room over looked the estuary and was clean and tidy..Breakfast was lovely, served with a smile and very quick! Nicky was attentive and helpful when we asked for advice on local eateries etc.(Even singing along to the radio in the kitchen) The location was perfect for us, not too close to the centre of town but only a few minutes walk from some amazing views over the sea! Overall a lovely experience!

Nick, the landlady runs the whole guesthouse and is a sweetheart. The place is like a home, warm comfy and friendly.
The budget rooms are small - we were kindly upgraded to a bigger room with a lovely view, not of the sea but inland - still great though. Such comfy beds and lovely modern shower.
We were recommended the Lakeside Restaurant in Newquay - one of the nicest places I have eaten in... ever!
One tiny little thing though was the feather duvet - partner is allergic but we switched to foam and was very happy.
Everything was just proper cornish, lovely, relaxing hilarious at times and so friendly.
We LOVED our stay, thanks Nick! we will be back :)

Room Tip: Get upgraded room if you can afford it.
