“very dissappointed”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed June 29, 2010

Book premier room at this hotel for weekend break, very dissappointed is just like normal double room, everythyng is tiny and small, is not like in the picture at all on the picture gallaries in the website {booking.com}.

The worse thing is they put too many drawers in the room make no room to move around, I don't thing people will bring so many thing to put in the drawer, just the twin set of drawers under the table coffee making facilities and a cubbord is enough.

No need for another two sets of drawers make the room cramp, no place to move, and the worse thing for us is we put baby cot in the room, and can't move at all and almost can't fit the baby cot in the room, have to squish it to fit in, and have to dissamble every morning we wake up, otherwise my little one no place to move and us as well in the room.

Shower room small toilet, cramp basin. Tiny cannot go and wash hands when someone in the toilet, thats how cramped it is.

We book premier room because we expected better than double room we stay in someway else, but is it is smaller.

We asked for a baby cot when we booked it, but when check in the room no baby cot ready and have to go and ask the reception for the baby cot.

When we wanna check in no one there, we not sure this the reception or not because no one there and my husband go check outside maybe someway else is the reception, but is not and were we standing and waiting, they said it was a 24 hours reception but not
true.

We standing and wait quite a while there then someone came, and just give us the keys and saying our room on the 2nd floor right in back by stairs, we confused finding our room have go through three door then we can find our room, unhelpful reception bad service.

The only good is the sea view and the bar downstairs, definitely not staying in this hotel next time we will stay someway else avoid it this place maybe just came for the bar.

We've stayed in the car park faced double room worth £45 + 5 for parking space, the breakfast was NOT included in this price, costs £13 extra for two persons a day. So for the final price of £63/night it was an usuall cost of hotel in Newquay.

We stayed for one night and I must admit I was a little wary due to the mixed reviews on Trip Advisor. The corridoors leading to the room were quite dark and narrow, but when we opened the door we were amazed to find a huge room overlooking the sea with a big bay window and a smaller side window. It was well furnised and looked like it had recently been decorated. There was a large dressing table, a small table set in the bay window with two chairs a double sofa as well as the bed and a big telly. The bathroom again big had a bath as well as a seperate shower. Breakfast was disappointing!

Bit pricey but right on the sea front. Went there in February and had a great room overlooking the cliffs, in April the room was smaller and nearer the front of the hotel with the view of a great big blue wall! Overall clean and tidy, decent breakfast without being great. Make sure that you book a parking space (payable at £5 per day) as there is no other parking close by.

I ended up in New Quay by accident when traveling in the South West of England. When I arrived I needed to find a hotel and the looked round the entire town, the Best Western looked one of the most well kept so I went in asked about rates. I was very surprised how cheap it was so wasn't expecting much.

I found the hotel room was very modern but floorboards were noisy. This didn't effect my sleep though. The views were amazing but my cheap room was next to a very run down building next year (hopefully that will be pulled down) but the money I cannot complain.

The hotel was very quiet and no problems with youths or party crowds. It seems the hotel has a strict policy on groups of people.

I will be going back again! It is just a shame it is 8 hours on the train from me.

We were very pleased with the hotel, the view from the restaurant was fantastic. All the staff we came across were very pleasant and helpful. We thought the meals and especially the breakfast were very good. We had no complaints.

At £45 for the room and £5 for secure car park, we thought we had good value in this somewhat dated hotel.
There is evidence of some cosmetic refurbishment. The location is good, right on the sea front. The rooms facing the sea are probably nicer but more expensive.
Our room was perfectly adequate if dated, the new windows are good protection from street noise.
The breakfast is poor with a wierd system of ordering at the bar from a small menu- a buffet system would be much more practical and generous.
