“Cozy little house”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 28, 2014 via mobile

Nice house to visit if you are short on time, not many rooms open to public, we are national trust members but as with most trust houses food was overpriced (£6 for pasty and small side salad), only a Trerice loyalty card available in cafe when purchasing tea or coffee, don't intend to visit again so card would have been a waste, other property's give a loyalty card that can be stamped in any other property.

“Worth a visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 28, 2014

We visited on a wet morning while staying in Newquay, interesting small house, super gardens, lovely cafe. One downside it is reached by small winding roads, we may have approached the wrong way, because the last couple of miles were on single track roads with passing places, drive slowly!

National trust property that's well worth a visit. I have a fasciation with old clocks and this house is full of them. we visited on a Sunday, and one of the volunteers gave a talk on the history of Trerice which was excellent. Each room as a volunteer who are only to willing to share there knowledge with you and are enthusiastic

“Pleasant Visit, excellent introduction by a house guide”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 15, 2014

Enjoyed our visit to the Gardens, House & Tearoom. Our visit was greatly enhanced by a helpful introduction on the lawn by a knowledgeable and friendly house guide. We noticed a number of welcome improvements and developments since our previous visit some years ago, such as the Ladies Garden.
Prospective visitors should recognise that it is a small house and garden, making a worthwhile but shorter length of visit.
The toasted sandwiches in the café were tasty and very hot - only criticism was being unexpectedly covered in excessive volume of a mustard vinaigrette dressing - would prefer that tearoom staff asked whether we wanted such a spicy layer over all of the salad.
