“Lovely place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 25, 2013

Lappa valley was a lovely place..we spent the afternoon up there on Thursday...we had our two daughters with us the youngest 5 and the oldest 7,they loved it. Lots to keep them entertained. Any children older than this I think might get bored as it is aimed at younger ones...we went on the lake and the young lad working on them 'Ben' was a pleasure and defiantly an asset to the place! It's a very pretty place to visit..and we would visit again. The cafe was clean and served nice food. Some people on here have said its pricey but at £36 for 4 of us I thought it was great, considering it was £24 to go to the local swimming baths!!

Overall a great place with friendly staff and lovely views. :-)

“All day kids entertainment”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 25, 2013

great day out for the kids - not bad for the grown ups either!

our two boys (5 & 3) had a blast from start to finish... steam train ride, two other small trains going all day, boating lake, crazy golf, oodles of room to run about in and make noise, diggers, slides and swings and all at no cost once you have paid your entrance fee which provides excellent value for money.
the only extra cost was cups of tea and the electric cars (£1 for a couple of minutes).

plenty of different areas mean that on this particular busy day it still didn't feel over crowded.

we took a packed lunch and there are lockers to leave your picnic bag in whilst you enjoy the attractions.
plenty of picnic tables and grassy areas to set up camp whilst the children play.
recommend a packed lunch as the queue for the food hut got rather large at the lunchtime period.

we visited on a sunny day (which always helps) and the timetable of the park was adapted to the fact it was a busy day so there was no-one left hanging around.

excellent value for excellent entertainment.

“Excellent day out”

A must for families. On your trip there make sure you head for the cafe and buy a slice of cake, the slices are the size of house bricks and the cakes taste awesome.
