“Wonderful views”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 26, 2012

I've stayed at the Atlantic before and it never fails to let me down.
Stayed in a standard room which had the most wonderful sea views.
Excellent value for money off season <£70 bed and breakfast possible, quite expensive during the Summer months but this is to be expected
Possibly one of the best breakfast’s I’ve had while travelling around.
The only thing stopping me giving it five stars is the lack of beers behind the bar, not one real ale, all lager and champagne. You’re in Cornwall a county that has I think some of the best beers in the country but not one in this bar!!
Nip down to the Red Lion 2 minutes down the hill for excellent food and loads of beers to try.

This hotel was fantastic. We stayed for 3 nights and found all the staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent, fresh juices, fresh fruits, cereals, croissants, ham, cheese, toast, jam, full cooked breakfast and tea and coffee. All perfectly cooked and presented. We ate in the Bistro on two nights, beautiful surroundings and wonderful food. The rooms were roomy and very nicely decorated. We had a sea view room with a huge window, the view was breathtaking. We used the pool, jacuzzi and sauna. Very pleasant and relaxing as we were the only people using it! However, the pool isn't very big and it may not have been so nice if other people were using it at the same time. The only downside for me was I found the room and the hotel in general far too hot. We turned the heating off in the room and had windows open but still too hot for comfort.

Room Tip: If you want a good view of the sea ask for a sea view on a high floor.

Stayed here several times now and have found the staff very helpful when needed... Great Breakfast selection.... meals in the Hotel restaurant are of excellent value and choices to suit everybody's needs.... Some rooms can be a bit tight on space but others very generous .... most rooms with terrific sea views... Walking up the hill to the hotel at night might not be everyone's cup of tea, but good exercise !!!

This hotel is located in a great spot overlooking the headland and lovely beaches, but it is so outdated despite having had a recent makeover. The decor is over the top and it seems the hotel is trying too hard to impress on the wrong areas. The pool is badly in need of restoration and the reception area is dingy and dark.

Room Tip: If you can afford a superior room with balcony, go for it - lovely spacious room and cosy and comfor...

Stayed at the atlantic in a Seaview suite for a work function. What a fantastic hotel the room was excellent and for £135 per night superb value. Great staff, great food, stunning sea view, can praise it highy enough.

Room Tip: Go for the Balcony suites.

We stayed with you for two nights on 28th & 29th September for Neil and Laura's wedding.
We really enjoyed our stay, you swiftly organised 2 rooms for us and our family after we found the poolside rooms rather cold and no hot water ! Our Balcony sea view rooms were just wonderful, thank you . Breakfast was the highlight ! to be greeted in such a cheery way by your breakfast chef, I forgot to ask his name, but he is to be commended, nothing was too much trouble, he remembered us the following morning, he really was delightful. The Wedding Dinner was delicious also, Beef that just melted in your mouth ! All in all we had a great weekend stay , and we will definetely return if we get the chance to return to Newquay.

We stayed at the Atlantic in early September for four nights in a balcony suite. The room was excellent, the food was very good, and all the staff were so friendly. The girls in Silks were so good to us, and we had many laughs because we needed to eat earlier than most. We enjoiyed the whole experience so much that we have booked the same suite for the Christmas break. We are sure we are going to get one of our best Christmas breaks ever.

Room Tip: Rooms with a balcony are quiet, and are very spacious.
