“lovely fresh food in a traditional pub”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2014

We arrived without pre booking & luckily got a table as we were early. The place filled to capacity later so I would recommend booking. Not a very extensive menu but the food was lovely, lots of fish dishes, beautifully presented & very hot. Well worth a visit as a delightful atmosphere and a lovely beer garden to boot. Only problem I had was that it's quite near a busy road so sitting outside there was quite a lot of traffic noise but plenty of parking & dogs are welcome.

“A real treat.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2014

Visited here last week for an evening meal. The food was exceptional, and good value. We had the antipasta with olives, breads, meats etc and garlic ciabata to start. My 9 yr old had a choice from the children's menu, 13 yr old son had the 10oz rump. My wife and I both had the seafood platter, this consisted of 3 types of fish, crab claws, tiger king prawns, mussels and scallops with chips and salad. With a round of drinks, all for £70.00. The restaurant manager was very attentive despite the restaurant being full. Will most definitely return.

“Bar needs an Air-Con unit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 28, 2014

Great bar & good food. The staff are excellent but need a small Air-Con unit behind the bar.
Always book, very busy place because it is so good.
