We thought we would try this surf school as it's location seemed fantastic, and when we enquired about price it seemed to be the best (£30 for 2.5hours, which included all equipment hire). As there were six of us, we asked about any discounts, and straight away they gave us £5 per person off the price of the lessons, which made it even better! (Make sure you ask if you're in a group!) Our lesson time was changed on the morning of the lesson, but they let us know in plenty of time, and this was so that the waves weren't as rough when we first got in the water. When we got there we met our instructors Sam and Holly, and they got us kitted up in wetsuits, rash vests and with boards. After the short walk down to the beach, they gave us a good health and safety briefing, they told us about all the parts of the board, and we did a quick warm up. The instructors were really nice and funny, and made everyone in the group feel relaxed about the lesson. After some tips about how to body board in on the surf board, we were let into the water for about 15 minutes to practice this. We then came back on to the shore, and were shown two techniques of standing up, and then we went back into the water for about an hour. All the time we were in the water the instructors were there with us, and helped out if we needed it, and gave us advice on how to better our technique!
I would thoroughly recommend this surf school to anyone who wants to learn and is a total beginner, as within a couple of hours, they have you standing on the boards and riding the waves in, which is such a great feeling. We are definitely going to be hiring boards from this surf school, as the rates are so reasonable!
We had such a good afternoon, so definitely try it!
